The EC wants to remove Russians from senior positions in strategic EU companies

According to El Pais, in this way Brussels intends to limit the presence of Russian citizens in the management of the most important infrastructure facilities in the 27 member countries. The ban is planned to be imposed on an extensive list of companies related to energy and all types of transport.

"Russia's influence on such infrastructures and organizations may jeopardize their proper functioning and ultimately create a danger to the provision of basic services to European citizens", - the draft draft of the sanctions package being prepared says (quoted by RIA Novosti).

In addition, it was proposed to add three Russian banks to the sanctions list: Alfa-Bank, Rosbank and Tinkoff Bank. In total, the new sanctions will affect about 100 individuals and legal entities whose assets in the EU will be frozen and entry will be closed.

Earlier today, the head of the EC announced the 10th package of sanctions against Russia, which, according to her, is estimated at 11 billion euros.
