The Kremlin does not discuss the deprivation of the maternity capital of Russian women giving birth abroad

"We don't have such a discussion", - the news agency quoted Peskov as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin posted a survey on the attitude to Russian women who go abroad for childbirth in Telegram.

Volodin expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that only last year more than 25 thousand Russians left for Argentina, the United States and other countries to have children there.

Many young mothers admit that they go abroad for childbirth to those countries where babies born are automatically granted citizenship "by right of soil".

The Constitution of the Russian Federation allows residents of the Russian Federation to have dual citizenship. The presence of citizenship of the Russian Federation and another country at the same time reserves the right for holders of domestic passports to receive in Russia's matkapital and other benefits.

Earlier it became known that against the background of the beginning of the military special operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the introduction of Western sanctions and the announcement in the Russian Federation of partial mobilization from Russia, a powerful wave of emigration has emerged. At the same time, the flow of applications for renunciation of Russian citizenship from Russians who have moved abroad for permanent residence has increased.

The authorities have not officially announced the extent of the loss of human capital in 2022. However, according to media estimates, the flight of Russian citizens abroad could reach about 1.5 million people. According to the Ministry of Finance, only among the representatives of the IT industry, Russia lost about 100 thousand workers in a year due to mass emigration.
