"As the government reported to me, we are ready to enter the production of Su-25 aircraft with a corresponding small technological support from Russia", - the Belarusian president said. His words are quoted by Belta.
The President added that these aircraft proved themselves well during the special operation on Ukraine.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that today Belarusian factories produce up to a thousand components for Russian medium-haul passenger aircraft MS-21 and short-haul passenger aircraft Superjet 100. Components are produced at three Belarusian factories: two military and one civilian. Previously, these plants were used exclusively for ship repairs. Today, they produce components, the president added.
It's worth reminding that at the previous meeting of the leaders of the two states in June last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to Alexander Lukashenko to retrofit the Su-25 aircraft in service with Belarus at aircraft factories in Russia and begin training flight personnel.
