In addition, the codes of Turkey (+905), Liechtenstein (+423), Norway (+472) are popular with intruders. The last two codes have an external similarity with the codes of Primorsky Krai and Belgorod region.
The strategy of Russian operators to identify and block fraudulent traffic in Russian networks forced the scammers to switch to foreign numbers, Kommersant points out. Instead of phone lines, scammers often call their victims through messengers. Since the beginning of this year, operators have tracked and blocked more than 9 million calls with substitution to MTS, MegaFon, Vimpelcom and Tele2 numbers.
