Joe Biden arrives in Kiev

President of the United States Joe Biden and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held talks at St. Michael's Cathedral in Kiev.

Journalists write that Biden and Zelensky have already discussed a number of issues. During the meeting of Biden and Zelensky, an air alert sounded in the city.

Today, on February 20, an air alert was announced not only in the Ukrainian capital, but also throughout the republic.

The American leader promised Ukraine another aid package. This time - $500 million of military support. The White House indicated that Biden is visiting Kiev for talks with his Ukrainian counterpart.

"Today in Kiev I am meeting with President Zelensky and his team for an extended discussion of our support for Ukraine. I will announce the next delivery of critical equipment", - Biden's message is quoted by the White House. 

It is specified that the package will include artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems and air surveillance radars. Biden promised to announce additional sanctions soon "against elites and companies" who are trying to evade the "Russian military machine".
