To maniacs with love: groups of fans of serial killers function in the social network

Eva Merkacheva, a well-known journalist and human rights activist, member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, told a fantastic story about the everyday life of Russian censorship on her channel:

"It's an amazing thing. I submitted an appeal to Roskomnadzor about two groups on the VKontakte network, where almost 4 thousand users from morning to evening confess their love for the Bitsevsky maniac Pichushkin..."

Recall that serial killer Alexander Pichushkin, known as the "Bitsevsky maniac" and "Killer with a Chessboard", committed at least 49 murders in the Bitsevsky Park of Moscow and its surroundings. And mostly he killed his victims with a hammer blow to the head. Pichushkin also confessed that he wanted to kill exactly as many people as the cells on the chessboard.

In the fall of 2007, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, and is now serving his sentence in the special regime penal colony "Polar Owl". It is noteworthy that there can be no question of any remorse, since already being behind bars, Pichushkin has repeatedly stated that he wants to kill people again.

Merkacheva further writes:

"There is such content that you can go crazy. And everyone can read it (and they do)  teenagers. One girl (I wrote to her) she replied that she loves a maniac and will wait (it's not clear what)...

P.S. I have just entered VKontakte: this group is as it was, and is.  Not deleted, access is not restricted.  There are plenty of updates. Congratulations on Valentine's Day there through the mouth of Pichushkin, Chikatilo, etc. And with illustrations of murder weapons..."

(Recall that Pichushkin's predecessor, Andrey Chikatilo, became famous in the USSR as a serial killer, rapist, pedophile and cannibal. In order to obtain sexual satisfaction, he, a former high school teacher, killed at least 43 women and children with extreme cruelty between 1982 and 1990, and he raped, dismembered and ate some of them. He was caught, found sane, sentenced to death and shot after the collapse of the USSR, in 1994.
