Flights to China - a new problem of Airlines

The president of the organization, Vladimir Tasun, sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Transport, Vitaly Savelyev, saying that before the covid pandemic, China was among the top ten countries in terms of international traffic volumes for carriers from Russia. From February 2020 to February of this year, air traffic between the Russian Federation and China was reduced. This was influenced, first of all, by the restrictions announced by Beijing. Currently, only Aeroflot from domestic companies flies from Moscow to China. ArAero and Aurora flights are operated from Irkutsk and Khabarovsk to Harbin.

Now Beijing has decided to lift the restrictions. But carriers still cannot operate flights to the Asian country on planes excluded from the Bermuda registry, which includes more than 480 boards, or included in the sanctions list of the US Department of Commerce - more than 170 aircraft.
