Putin: Russia suspends the START Treaty

During his annual address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the suspension of participation in the START treaty on nuclear missiles.
The President said that Russia is not withdrawing from the treaty, but suspending its participation in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START).
He explained that such a decision of the Russian Federation was provoked by the actions of the United States, which, according to him, have already done so.
The President pointed out that the West wants to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation and inspect Russian military facilities. However, Russia will not agree to this.
