Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the collection of "voluntary contributions" from businesses to the budget this year will be one-time, while there is no question of raising taxes.

"We are talking about a one-time business participation this year. Moreover, in terms of the increase in their financial results", - RIA Novosti quotes Siluanov as saying.

According to the minister, when collecting funds, the government intends to compare the increase in the financial results of companies for 2022 and 2021 by 2020 and 2019.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian authorities intend to receive about 300 billion rubles from business representatives this year as "voluntary contributions" to the budget. They should be paid out of the income received in 2022. However, oil and gas sector enterprises will be excluded from the system of additional fees.

The Kremlin called this idea a common world practice and explained that contributions are voluntary. At the same time, entrepreneurs were warned that business in the Russian Federation is a two—way street.

It has not yet been announced what preferences those who agree to pay additional fees will receive.

On the eve it became known that an additional fee may be introduced into the Tax Code as a one-time payment from companies that earned over 1 billion rubles in 2021-2022.

Experts of the Blah-blah-nomika channel noted that, in fact, there are very few purely "raw materials" in the rating of companies that fall under the new criterion. In the list of the Expert magazine, in 2021 there were 242 companies with a net profit of 1 billion rubles in the country, and if we exclude oil and gas companies from them, then 224. At the same time, their total profit is approximately equal to the total profit of the excluded.
