According to the regional FSB department, since 2010, the detainees have been looking for girls in the region, offered to move abroad, where they had to engage in prostitution. The detainees carried out such activities until 2019.
The Investigative Committee for Nalchik initiated criminal cases under articles on the organization of prostitution, inducement to it and human trafficking.
Earlier, the OSCE stated that the flow of Ukrainian refugees to Europe led to a sharp increase in the number of crimes related to human trafficking. The number of requests for sexual services has increased seven times since the beginning of the special operation. Attackers, first of all, take advantage of people who find themselves in a helpless state.
