"In January 2023, Russians reduced purchases of medicines against influenza and SARS by 31% compared to the same period last year. So, in the period from January 1 to January 31 of this year, almost 17.4 million packages of such drugs were sold in pharmacies, and in the same period last year sales were at the level of 25.1 million packs", - the experts of Honest Sign noted (quoted by Interfax).
In monetary terms, sales of the corresponding drugs fell by 30%: 7.3 billion rubles in January 2023 against 10.5 billion rubles in January 2022.
Analysts of the "Honest Sign" do not see signs of an impending shortage of medicines for influenza and SARS in Russia. According to the operator, there are sufficient stocks in the manufacturers' warehouses, in the wholesale and retail link to cover the demand of Russians for 7.5 months at average consumption rates.
