The talks will be held in Brussels "in the coming days."

The representative of the United States Department of State, Ned Price, said that negotiations between representatives of Baku and Yerevan will be held in Brussels in the near future. Washington is waiting for further progress in the negotiations organized by the President of the European Council Charles Michel.

The journalists noted that recently statements on this issue by the American side have not become too optimistic, but Price pointed out that the parties have made progress towards a peace agreement, as Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in Munich on February 18.

In the middle of the month, Yerevan completed work on a draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan and handed it over to Baku. The document was also sent to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries — Russia, France and The United States. The situation on the border of the two countries once again escalated in September last year. In December, Azerbaijan blocked the Lachin corridor connecting Armenia with Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenian authorities accused the Russian peacekeepers of not fulfilling their obligations to control this direction.
