Gas production decreased by 11% in January 2023

In January of this year, natural gas production in the country fell by 10.7% in annual terms and amounted to 62.7 billion cubic meters. According to Vedomosti, citing sources familiar with the statistics of the Ministry of Energy, Gazprom reduced production by 18.4%. This January, the company produced 40.7 billion cubic meters, and in the same period last year - 49.9 billion cubic meters. Gazprom has not yet released production statistics.

Over the past year, the country has reduced gas production by 13.3% year-on-year. The indicator was at the level of 522 billion cubic meters.

In the past, industrial production has also decreased. In annual terms, the indicator fell by 0.6%, and in December 2022 - by 4.3%. Gas and oil production decreased by 2.1%, metal ores — by 8.6%.
