Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Izvestia that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet spoken out about his plans to participate in the 2024 elections.
"We have not heard any statements from him yet, where he would talk about putting up or not presenting his candidacy. That is, it is still a little premature", - the presidential press secretary said and suggested "to be patient".
The electoral season will begin "towards the end, by the middle of the second half" of 2023.
It's worth reminding that the presidential elections of Russia are to be held on March 17, 2024. According to the rules, in December 2023 they will be officially appointed by the Federation Council, and then the election campaign will start.
