85 people were injured.
According to the official representative of the Greek Fire Service Vasilis Vartakoyannis, the number of victims as a result of the collision of freight trains has increased from 16 to 29 people. The rescue operation continues.
"85 wounded have been sent to hospitals", - the official said on the ERT1 TV channel.
It is known that at the moment 53 victims remain in medical institutions.
The tragedy happened around midnight in the town of Tempi near Laris at the Evangelismos station, more than 200 km west of Athens. The circumstances have not yet been clarified.
