Dmitry Peskov condemned the flags of Ukraine in the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia

According to the Kremlin representative, the flag of Ukraine for the Russian authorities is "mainly the flag of the very regime that supports the nationalists and with which we are currently fighting, against which we are conducting a special operation".

According to Peskov, the Kremlin intends to study the history of flags at the university not through the media, but by checking the Ministry of Defense.

The reason for the scandal was the appearance of Ukrainian flags opposite congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day at the university.

The placement of Ukrainian flags in the educational institution was explained by holding a traditional exhibition of the university's fraternal organizations. Against the background of the scandal, the Ministry of Education and Science began an internal audit at the university, Kommersant reports.

"Following the results of this incident, by the decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Nikolaevich Falkov, an internal audit was appointed, according to its results, the perpetrators will be punished", - the department explained.
