As explained in Roskomnadzor, amendments to the law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" will come into force on March 1, according to which a ban on the use of foreign messengers when providing services to Russians is established.
"We ask Russian organizations to take into account new circumstances when planning their activities", - Roskomnadzor noted.
It's worth reminding that at the end of December, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that prohibits banks and non-credit financial organizations from using foreign messengers to send information to customers using their personal data, as well as information about accounts and transfers. In addition, it is prohibited to use these messengers when providing public services.
