In Ulyanovsk, an employee of the Aviastar plant died during the testing of the IL-76 fuselage

"A tragic incident occurred at the Aviastar plant during the tests of the fuselage compartment of the aircraft in production. Several employees of the company were injured, one was killed," the message on the Telegram channel of the UAC says.

The press service of the corporation added that the necessary medical assistance was provided to the victims. Emergency services are working at the scene of the incident. The causes of the incident are being investigated.

According to a RIA Novosti source in the emergency services, five people were injured as a result of the incident.

According to Kommersant, the Aviastar UAC plant produces Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft, Il-78M-90A tankers, passenger and cargo aircraft of the Tu-204 family. It also provides maintenance of the AN-124 "Ruslan", warranty and post-warranty maintenance of other types of aircraft.
