At the meeting of the foreign ministers of the G20 countries, which took place on March 1-2 in Delhi, the participants failed to come to a consensus on the situation in Ukraine. In this regard, it was decided not to make a collective statement. This was announced by Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar in an interview with the Associated Press.

"If we had a perfect unity of views on all issues, there would be a collective statement", - Jaishankar said (quoted by Interfax).

The Indian Minister noted that there were serious differences of opinion on the situation in Ukraine, which could not be eliminated, and the parties held different views. At the same time, the summit participants managed to agree on most issues related to the interests of less developed countries.

Earlier today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference in the Indian capital that a summary would be published instead of a declaration following the meeting.
