Tula authorities considered the fall of a drone to be the cause of the explosion

The authorities of the Tula region believe that the probable cause of the explosion in the village of Berezovsky could be the fall of an unmanned aerial vehicle.

This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the data of the regional authorities.

"Nothing threatens the safety of residents. Operational services continue to work on the spot, all the circumstances of the incident are being established. One of the versions of the incident is the fall of the UAV", - the report says.

After the emergency with the explosion in Berezovsky, the Tula authorities decided to strengthen the protection of important objects.

The explosion in Berezovsky became known on the morning of March 2. An explosive crater was found near the village. None of the residents were injured during the emergency.

It is not yet known what kind of ammunition was detonated there. The final results of the investigation have not yet been made public.

Drone attacks on Russian cities have been going on for several days. They have especially intensified this week. In a number of regions, the number of downed drones is already in the dozens.
