The creator of a homemade bomb to blow up a court in the Moscow region was jailed for 19 years

The attacker intended to commit a crime using an improvised explosive device.

According to RBC with reference to FSB data, the defendant Magomedov, having contacted the terrorists through social networks, underwent distance learning and purchased parts for assembling a homemade bomb.

He intended to set off an explosive device in the building of one of the courts near Moscow. However, he did not have time to finish what he started, because at the time of assembling the bomb in a rented apartment, he was detained by security forces. During the search, he was found to have striking elements, explosives, a device for remotely activating a bomb and plans for an approach to the courthouse.

"Magomedov K. M. was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 205 (terrorist act) and part 1 of Article 222.1 (illegal possession of weapons", - is said in the report.

According to the first article, the maximum penalty is up to 15 years in prison, according to the second — up to eight years in prison with a fine.

The verdict has entered into force.
