A fire and explosion occured at the Moskoks plant in the Moscow suburb of Vidnoye

The explosion was heard at a coke and gas plant in the city of Vidnoye, Moscow region. The explosion was followed by a fire - the flames covered 200 square meters.

"Vidnoye city district, Belokamennoe highway, house 13 (coke and gas plant), cotton in the shop. The pump column with benzene is on fire. The open gorenje of the structure is 20 by 10 meters high, 20 meters high", - TASS reports the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The company belongs to Mechel. RBC, referring to representatives of the company, clarifies that the fire started on the separation column in the capture department, the fire has already been localized. As a result, there are no casualties, there is no threat to the environment. In addition, a commission will be created to investigate the causes of the incident.

It's worth that the "Moscow Coke and Gas Plant" was founded in 1938. Now the production produces about 1.1 million tons of gross coke annually.
