Sales of passenger cars in February collapsed by 62%

In total, according to the results of the past month, 41.9 thousand cars were sold in the country, the report says.

The statistics did not take into account the data of the automaker Chery, which was in the top five best-selling cars in the country last year, as well as BMW and Mercedes-Benz Rus, which henceforth provide a quarterly report.

By the end of February, Lada, Haval and Geely were among the three best-selling car brands. Sales of Lada cars in February increased by 5% year-on-year. In total, 23.4 thousand such machines were sold. Haval sales increased 1.5 times - up to 5.3 thousand cars. Geely's sales showed an almost twofold increase - about four thousand cars of this brand were sold in a month.
