"According to preliminary data, on 07.03.2023, at about 00 hours 10 minutes on 412 km of the R22 Caspian highway, a passenger bus traveling from Volgograd to Moscow with 23 passengers collided with a tractor. As a result of the incident, several passengers with various injuries were hospitalized in the hospital", - the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Tambov region reported.
The supervisory authority noted that the prosecutor of the Nikiforovsky district went to the scene of the accident. Clarification of the circumstances of the accident and the course of the procedural check is put under the control of the prosecutor's office.
"There was a collision between a Mercedes bus and a Belarus tractor. According to preliminary data, seven people were injured in the accident. There were about 20 passengers on the bus. Among the injured are a 34-year-old bus driver, a 44—year-old tractor driver and five passengers," the police said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Tambov region reported that traffic was restricted to one lane on the section of the highway where the accident occurred. The regional department noted the absence of fire and fuel spill.
