Armed Forces of Ukraine blocked 26 Telegram channels notifying about the places of distribution of subpoenas in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine announced the blocking of 26 Telegram channels that informed the population of seven regions about the distribution of summonses for conscription in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Their total audience numbered more than 400 thousand users. Administrators of Telegram channels face up to 10 years in prison.

"Cyberspecialists of the Security Service blocked 26 telegram channels that prevented the mobilization of Ukrainian citizens of military age. First of all, they "merged" the actual places of delivery of military service summonses and urged to hide from representatives of military enlistment offices", - the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported (quoted by TASS).

According to the agency, the resources received up-to-date information from local residents. In particular, the public worked on the territory of Kiev, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Lviv, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions.

"Due to the constant updating of information, destructive channels quickly increased their own audience, which exceeded 400 thousand subscribers", - the  noted.

In the course of operational investigative measures, it was possible to calculate the owners of Telegram channels, after which searches were conducted at their place of residence. Six administrators of public sites were declared suspicious in accordance with Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — Obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces and military formations. As a punishment for this violation, imprisonment for up to 10 years is provided. In relation to the defendants in the case, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of temporary detention.
