More than a thousand opponents of the bill on foreign agents, adopted by the Parliament of Georgia in the first reading the night before, came to the central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. The action resumed after the riot police dispersed it at night. Traffic on Rustaveli Avenue is blocked.

"The traffic on Rustaveli Avenue, where the parliament is located, is blocked, the protesters are holding flags of Georgia and the European Union, chanting slogans against the adoption of the bill, which was supported in the first reading on Tuesday", - the TASS correspondent reports.

According to the agency, students and an organized women's movement participate in the action. The demonstration takes place peacefully, without clashes with the police.

According to RIA Novosti, Akaki Minashvili, a member of the opposition United National Movement party, announced large-scale events in Tbilisi. According to him, activists are moving from different locations to the parliament, and the action itself will begin at 19:00 local time (18:00 Moscow time). He also called on opponents of the bill to join the protests.

The rally against the adoption of the law on foreign agents began on Tuesday morning, and in the evening there were clashes with the police. The protesters broke through the iron barriers, threw Molotov cocktails, stones and improvised objects at the police. The demonstrators failed to enter the parliament territory — riot police were involved in restoring public order, and water cannons, stun grenades and tear gas were used to disperse the protesters. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reported the detention of 66 people. The ministry noted that 50 law enforcement officers were injured during the riots.
