Rescuers evacuated 83 fishermen from broken ice floes in the Gulf of Finland (VIDEO)

In the Leningrad region, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 83 fishermen from ice floes that broke off from the shore in the waters of the Gulf of Finland. A Mi-8 helicopter and a hovercraft were involved in the rescue operation.
The message about the separation of two ice floes with fishermen in the Gulf of Finland was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 09:45. Operational groups moved to the scene to evacuate fishermen to shore.
"The rescue operation has been completed. A total of 83 people were rescued, including by helicopter", - the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported.
14 employees of the department took part in the rescue of fishermen, six pieces of equipment were involved.
