North Korea has tested a new ballistic missile

According to the South Korean military, Pyongyang launched a missile from the city of Nampho on the coast of the Sea of Japan.

The launch took place at about 18:20 local time (12:20 Moscow time), Interfkas writes.

The launch was carried out before the start of joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States, which the DPRK is protesting against. The country's authorities consider the joint actions of Seoul and Washington to be "preparation for unleashing an aggressive war".

Earlier, the United States declared its readiness to use nuclear weapons against the DPRK in the event of aggression on its part against Seoul.
