Prince Faisal: "Riyadh is ready to help a peaceful settlement in Ukraine"

"Riyadh is working with all parties to find a peaceful solution to the conflict. We have already put forward certain initiatives before, including the exchange of prisoners. This operation took place under the personal control of the Crown Prince", - Al Arabia newspaper quotes the speech of the Saudi Foreign Minister at a press conference in the Russian capital.

At the talks in Moscow, Prince Faisal and the head of Russian diplomacy Sergey Lavrov discussed international developments, including the course of ITS in Ukraine, bilateral relations and the stability of oil markets. Following the meeting, the ministers stated that they were ready to continue coordinating actions within the framework of OPEC+.

"Russia confirms its interest in cooperation with Saudi Arabia in all areas", - Lavrov stressed.

Praising Saudi Arabia's efforts to resolve conflicts, especially in Ukraine and Yemen, Minister Lavrov said: "We do not see that Kiev has a desire to conduct a serious dialogue with Moscow." 

At the end of February, writes RBC, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud visited Kiev and met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The minister promised that Saudi Arabia would provide Kiev with $410 million in aid to "mitigate the economic consequences of the crisis".
