This was stated by the head of the American cyber agency at the CERAWeek international energy conference in Houston.
"Big threats come from Russia, China, Iran and North Korea. China is actually the main threat, and we are very concerned in terms of the ability to hold our critical infrastructure", - RIA Novosti quoted Jen Easterly as saying.
So far, the United States has not recorded a large number of cyber attacks from Russia.
At the same time, in the new National Cybersecurity Strategy of the United States, published in March 2023, Russia, China, the DPRK and Iran is pointed out as the main sources of cyber threats to the national security and welfare of the United States, Kommersant notes.
Previously, hacker attacks have repeatedly become reasons for the aggravation of relations between Russia and the United States. In particular, cases of alleged Russian interference in the presidential elections in the United States, as well as the detention of members of cyber groups engaged in extortion of large sums of money from representatives of US industrial enterprises, received great resonance.
