Consultations on the extension of the grain deal have begun in Geneva

Negotiations between representatives of Russia and the UN on the extension of the grain deal, which expires on March 18, have begun in Geneva. According to Reuters, "UN officials" and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin are participating in the talks. The start of negotiations was confirmed at the Geneva representation of the Russian Federation to the UN, RIA Novosti points out.

The negotiations will last no longer than one day. If necessary, the deadlines will increase.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to hold a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky in April. This was told by a member of the Security and Foreign Policy Council under the President of Turkey, Chagry Erhan.

The deal was concluded in June last year. In November, the agreement was extended.
