The ICC is going to seek the arrest of Russian officials.

According to Reuters, citing a source, the ICC was going to arrest Russian representatives for "forcibly deporting children from Ukraine and striking at civilian infrastructure". If this really happens, the cases will become the first precedents.

According to The New York Times, the ICC is going to open two war crimes cases and will request arrest warrants for several people. The Chief Prosecutor of the court, Karim Khan, must present the charges to the panel of pre-trial judges. They will decide whether the legal standards for issuing arrest warrants have been met, or whether investigators need additional evidence. It is currently unknown who the court is going to charge in each case.

Earlier, the Slovak parliament supported the creation of a special tribunal for Russia's "crimes" in Ukraine. Slovakia believes that Moscow is waging a "hybrid war" against it. The Parliament called on law enforcement agencies to take measures "to preserve security and democracy in Slovakia."
