He noted that Washington is studying "some pictures" to find out if among them are those that are "suitable for publishing information." Thus, he commented on the version voiced by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about the causes of the incident.

The incident occurred on March 14 in the sky over the Black Sea. In particular, the American reconnaissance drone MQ-9 Reaper was disabled and fell into the sea. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the violation of the "border of the area of the temporary regime of the use of airspace." The reason for the fall of the drone, the Russian defense Ministry called an uncontrolled flight, which was the result of sharp maneuvering. According to the US version, the reason for the fall of the MQ-9 Reaper was an unsafe maneuver of the Russian Su-27 fighter.
