Siluanov set deadlines for payment of the fee from the excess profits of the business

According to the minister, it will be possible to make money for the excess profit received in 2021-2022 in 2024, but now it is more profitable to do so.

Siluanov said this at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

As RBC notes with reference to the calculations of the Ministry of Finance, in total, in 2021, Russian companies received 34 trillion rubles in profit. This is 2.5 times higher than in previous years.

"According to estimates, in 2022, the profit of the business amounted to 26 trillion rubles", - the report says.

After the State Duma deputies approve the document on the additional payment during the spring session, the Ministry of Finance intends to receive about 300 billion rubles from business as a one—time "windfall tax" - a tax on "income brought by the wind".

For those who hurry up and deposit money this year, the authorities promise some advantages. Details of the benefits have not yet been announced. But a number of market participants believe that those who pay the new "tax" now will be able to count on some discount. It is expected that the new kind of tax will be imposed on those firms that additionally received at least 1 billion rubles. There are about 0.1% of them in the country. At the same time, oil and gas companies will not be subject to additional taxation.
