And Bulgarian enterprises would increase supplies again in order to replenish stocks in European countries, he told Politico."It was very important for me to get this guarantee", - added Thierry Breton.
Recall that Bulgaria does not provide military assistance to Ukraine directly, but supports this country. Earlier, the German edition of Welt found out that Bulgaria supplied weapons to Ukraine in the "crucial months". Deliveries were carried out through third countries, in particular the USA and the UK. The total cost of the weapons sent in this way is estimated at one billion dollars.
At the end of February, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance had run out of artillery shells that they could supply to Ukraine. He called for increasing the production of weapons, as the conflict in Ukraine is developing into a stage of "attrition". Prior to that, the NATO Secretary General called for an audit of ammunition depots in NATO countries.
