Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. During the event, the head of state delivered a speech.

  • In the second quarter of 2023, a significant increase in GDP is expected compared to 2022.
  • Russia was able to compensate for the closure of Western markets and expand foreign trade relations with the states of fast-growing regions.
  • The foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation in 2022 increased by 8.1%. The trade surplus increased by 70% compared to the previous year.
  • By the end of 2023, the inflation rate is projected to be less than 4%, which is lower than in the eurozone countries.
  • Using our own technological base, it is necessary to increase production capacities, open new enterprises and create jobs throughout the country, including with the involvement of partners from friendly countries. In addition, digital platforms and management models based on big data should be developed.
  • The state will provide support to domestic businesses that invest in important areas for Russians and participate in the implementation of social programs.
