Sociologists: every second Russian suffers from anxiety

This conclusion was reached by experts of the Public Opinion Foundation (POM) based on the results of a study conducted last week among 1,500 respondents.

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the results of the FOM study, only 45% of respondents reported the predominance of a calm mood in themselves and their surroundings.

The study participants were residents of 104 settlements in 53 regions of the country.

Earlier it was reported that especially the level of anxiety and stress among the population of the country rose after the beginning of the military special operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. Citizens began to buy antidepressants en masse from pharmacies: sales of these drugs increased significantly in 2022. The growth of citizens' spending for these purposes amounted to 50%.
