Sprinter Yegor Kibakin (pictured) was disqualified for 4 years for violating anti-doping rules. This is reported by the press service of the All-Russian Athletics Federation.

"Based on data from the Moscow Anti—doping Laboratory (LIMS), Yegor Kibakin (sprint) has been disqualified for 4 years for violating anti-doping rules", - is noted in a statement on the federation's website.

The athlete is charged with violating paragraph 2.2 of the All—Russian Anti-Doping Rules - the use or attempt to use a Prohibited substance or method by an athlete. The announced period of Kibakin's disqualification: from March 7, 2023 to June 16, 2026.

In addition, the results of the athlete achieved at the competitions in the period from June 20, 2012 to June 19, 2016 were canceled. According to Interfax, thus the sprinter was deprived of the gold medal of the 2015 Russian Indoor 400 m Running Championship.
