The Kremlin announced the time of the official meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping: it will begin at 15:00 on March 21.

Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters about this.

"The official meeting ceremony is at 15.00, then everything will go one after another. Everything will already take place in the Grand Kremlin Palace", - RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the head of China will visit Russia on March 20-22 with a state visit at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation. This is Xi Jinping's first trip abroad after his re-election as President of the People's Republic of China for the third time.

Interest in the visit of the Chinese president to Russia turned out to be great all over the world: over 10,000 people watched the Chinese leader's flight to Moscow on the morning of March 20.

On the eve of the visit, the parties exchanged publications in the media, where they talked about the official goals of the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the two countries, and also announced their intention to discuss the situation around Ukraine. The heads of state are expected to sign a number of documents on further bilateral cooperation.
