The cost of spare parts in the Russian Union of Motor Insurers directories is taken into account when calculating Compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners payments. The new reaction of reference books comes into force on March 19 of this year.
Despite the annual increase in prices for spare parts, compared with the end of last year, the average price in March decreased by 6.4%, the report says. This indicates the stabilization of the market situation. The Russian Union of Motor Insurers notes that the emergence of new supply channels led to a decrease in prices.
At the same time, there is still an increase in prices for certain items. For example, prices for spare parts for VAZ (Lada) cars increased by 3.9% compared to the end of last year. Spare parts for Chevrolet have risen in price by 5.1% in three months. At Volvo and Lifan, the cost of spare parts has increased by 4% and 0.6% since the end of last year.
In annual terms, the most significant growth is observed for Nissan spare parts (trunk doors have risen in price by 80%), Mitsubishi (front chassis wiring has increased in price by 67%), as well as Hyundai and Kia, headlights for which have become more expensive by 47% and 36%, respectively.
Yevgeny Ufimtsev notes that the stabilization of prices for spare parts exerts a restraining pressure on the Compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners tariff. According to him, "the development of the segment of industrial recovery of spent components" could improve the repair situation without compromising safety.
