The EU approved the transfer of 1 million shells to Kiev during the year

This was stated by the head of the European Diplomacy Josep Borrel.

On March 20, the EU countries approved a plan to transfer one million shells to Ukraine in the next 12 months. 2 million euros will be allocated for this.

"The EU countries have agreed to provide [Ukraine] with 1 million artillery shells over the next 12 months. We have a plan of three steps: 1 billion euros for immediate deliveries, 1 billion euros for joint purchases, the creation of a commission for a sharp increase in [military] production capabilities", - Borrel said.

Last week, European Commissioner Thierry Brenton demanded that Bulgaria increase the production of shells for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Bulgaria does not provide military assistance to the Kiev regime, although it supports Kiev. At the same time, supplies from Bulgaria are still being carried out through third countries, Western media wrote.

At the end of February, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance had run out of artillery shells that they could supply to Ukraine.
