Reuters: Turkey has compiled a list of goods prohibited for import into Russia

The Turkish authorities have compiled lists of goods for local firms that are banned for export to Russia, Reuters reports, referring to the head of the Istanbul Association of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals, Cetin Tejdelioglu.

"The Turkish government gave the companies a list of prohibited foreign goods and forbade them to supply these products to Russia from the first of March", - the source said.

The goods included in the list produced in any country cannot be delivered to the Russian Federation, but if the product is produced in Turkey using foreign parts, it does not fall under the ban.

Before that, the Turkish media wrote that the country's authorities decided to ban refueling and maintenance of American-made aircraft from Russia and Belarus. However, then these data were denied by the Ministry of Transport of Russia. On March 9, it became known that Ankara blocked the transit of sanctioned goods to the Russian Federation. Parallel import schemes, which the Russian authorities allowed to be used to circumvent sanctions, "stalled" at Turkish customs.
