The UK will transfer depleted uranium shells to Ukraine

According to RIA Novosti with reference to Goldie's statement, along with providing a squadron of Challenger 2 battle tanks, Britain agreed to supply Ukraine with armor-piercing ammunition that contains depleted uranium.

Depleted uranium projectiles with a high impact force are part of the ammunition sets of American Abrams tanks, suitable for German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 2.

Experts interviewed by the agency warn of the danger of using these warheads, as they infect the area and cause outbreaks of cancer, including among civilians.

The UK has already sent Kiev about 3 million units of military equipment. The delivery kits included Challenger 2 tanks, armored vehicles, anti-tank missiles, multiple launch rocket systems and other types of weapons. The total cost of deliveries reached 2.3 billion pounds.

At the same time, EU countries, the USA, Canada and a number of other states are providing assistance to Kiev.
