As representatives of the gaming industry acknowledged in an interview with Kommersant, they have already been invited to meetings on this issue with one of the deputy prime ministers.

Experts believe that it is easy and inexpensive to develop a simulator game for controlling a drone from a game joystick. However, it will not be possible to gain real control skills on it, since each drone has its own control panel. What the government needs is no longer a game, but rather "software for a narrow circle of consumers".

The development period of an effective simulator for training operators of one real drone can range from 3 to 5 years, experts believe. They believe that the commercial success of simulators can bring the transfer of this industry into an esports discipline, for example, by organizing drone races.
