Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the introduction of a special status for children who were injured during the SMO. This was announced by the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova on the sidelines of the career guidance festival "Ticket to the Future" in Yekaterinburg.

"The President supported this (the introduction of the status), now it is being worked out in the relevant departments. Very soon, I hope, there will be a government decree on the mechanism for identifying such children and receiving all supporting benefits and allowances", - Lvova—Belova said (quoted by TASS).

Earlier, the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child under the President of Russia took the initiative to introduce a special status for children who were injured during the SMO. According to her, at the moment there are about 1 thousand such children. In this regard, she appealed to the head of state with a proposal to provide additional guarantees for such children and their families.
