Peskov: The Kremlin will not turn off the backlight in the "Earth Hour" due to the recognition of WWF* as a foreign agent

This year, the Kremlin will not join the environmental action "Earth Hour", the illumination of the architectural ensemble of the Kremlin will not be turned off, said the press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov. The refusal to participate in the "Earth Hour" is due to the status of the organizer of the action in Russia — the World Wildlife Fund*, WWF*, which the Ministry of Justice of Russia recognized as a foreign agent.

Earlier, representatives of 62 Russian environmental and environmental organizations sent a letter to President Vladimir Putin. They asked to annul this decision of the Ministry of Justice.
