The tests were led by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

North Korea said it had conducted tests of "underwater nuclear weapons," the South Korean Yonhap news agency writes. According to the Voice of Korea radio, it means a "nuclear drone" that can cause a "radioactive tsunami". Journalists emphasize that the tests were led by the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un.

UAVs are able to "secretly swim underwater" to the required water area and "produce a super-powerful radioactive tsunami" with the help of an underwater explosion in order to "destroy and destroy groups of ships and the enemy port."

Kim Jong-un expressed "great satisfaction" with the results of the tests and "once again strongly urged opponents to stop reckless military exercises", which, in his opinion, are directed against North Korea.

On March 22, Pyongyang launched a long-range strategic cruise missile towards the Sea of Japan, which flew 2,000 km. Moreover, the DPRK regularly uses non-standard places as launch sites. In particular, it is reported that the launches were carried out from a submarine, a train, lakes, coastal cliffs, golf courses, which complicates the search for their base.

Before that, similar tests took place three days earlier. North Korea's missile launches at intervals of several days could be a response to the joint exercises of South Korea and the United States "Freedom Shield FS", which started on March 13.
