"Germany takes an active part in arming Ukraine, pumping the country with weapons. Germany is directly and indirectly increasing the level of its involvement in this conflict. Such actions and decisions do not bode well", - the presidential press secretary commented. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the German edition of Spiegel reported on the plans of the Ministry of Finance of the country to more than double the financing of the state fund, from which assistance to Kiev is allocated. The agency proposes to increase it to 5.4 billion euros this year (from 2.2 billion today).
The proposal is due to the fact that the Ukrainian military is losing a large amount of equipment and needs new supplies, the ministry noted.
The day before, the publication reported on the transfer of 18 Leopard 2 tanks to the country, as well as about 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
