According to RBC, referring to sources and the company's notification sent to the Ministry of Agriculture, LLC Cargill, a Russian subsidiary of Cargill, one of the world's largest grain suppliers, will no longer export Russian grain, but the planned deliveries for the current season will be completed in full.
The export stop will be carried out "in accordance with the earlier discussion of grain export issues and recommendations" of the department. The revision of assets related to grain exports by the Russian division has already begun. At the same time, Cargill's decision will not affect the total volume of Russian grain exports. In the 2022/2023 season, the company will supply 2.2 million tons of grain to world markets - about 4% of the total volume of Russian exports.
The publication states that the company probably decided to stop exporting due to pressure on the market from the Russian authorities, as well as tightened regulation of the industry.
Meanwhile, the leading railway operator Rusagrotrans (part of Demeter Holding) intends to reduce the tariff for route transportation of grain to the ports of the Black and Azov Seas by 15% from the second quarter. It should be noted that compared to last year, by March of this year, the transportation of agricultural goods from the regions of the South and the Volga region to the Novorossiysk port increased by an average of 37%.
In Kazakhstan, by the way, a "gray" scheme of grain imports from Russia was revealed, which was supposed to be used further in third countries according to fictitious documents.
