tass: in the Bryansk region, two deputy governors were suspected of taking bribes

"Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against the acting deputy governors of the Bryansk region, Elena Egorova and Tatiana Kuleshova, under the article on receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale (p. 6, Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). They are detained", - the source told TASS.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the amount of the bribe amounted to 4.4 million rubles. A scheme with intermediaries whose identities have been established was used to transfer money. The source of the publication added that criminal cases have been initiated on suspicion of mediation in bribery (Parts 4 and 5 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against two citizens.

"The suspects were detained by employees of the GUEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the criminal case is being investigated by the central office of the Russian IC," the TASS interlocutor added.

Egorova was appointed acting deputy governor on April 1, 2022. Her responsibilities included the fields of education, science and culture. Kuleshova has been in office since April 28, 2021, and her responsibilities include coordinating and regulating activities in the field of information policy and internal policy of the region.
